Ministry of Commerce & Industry

Situated near downtown Riyadh amongst other governmental offices, the landscaped areas within and around the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MCI) aim to fulfil the demands of both larger public and smaller private spaces alike. The design approach was to create vibrant spaces that complement the surrounding architectural context and office park. Designs for three exterior plazas anticipate daily pedestrian traffic flows, and balance circulation with outdoor elements such as seating, planted islands, and water features. Interior gardens and lounges serve as flexible break spaces that provide access to refreshing greenery. The minister’s Executive Garden offers amenities and lush plantings for private meetings.
